Important Information That You Need To Know About Rolling Road

By Paramount Performance   Posted at  03:01   rolling road tuning No comments
In rail-based transportation, a rolling road is considered to be a combined transport that involves the process of conveying of road trucks through the rail. One can also think of it as a form of piggyback transportation. There are few important things that you must consider about road rolling.

Simulate real world driving
It is not possible for a road rolling to simulate the experience of real world driving. It provides a linear load on a vehicle’s engine by applying reduced pressure from RPMs to redline. The time taken by it is approximately 45 seconds to reach the redline mark.
The continuous load on the turbocharger and an engine will naturally raise intake temperatures beyond the real world driving experience. These temperatures lead the engine to pull in the backward direction and limit the power.
Factors that attributes to rolling performance in a vehicle
It is impossible for a car to show less rolling road performance while giving best power on the street. This is due to several reasons:
  • The fan present in the front region of the car provides a linear air flow to a tiny area of the frontal region of it. Real time driving conditions provide airflow that is directly proportional to the speed. With the increase of the speed, the air flow increases.
  • The fans are pointed at the centre of the vehicle, so several intercoolers are kept on the left and right side of the car and fail to receive adequate cooling effect from the fans. This leads to the air intake temperature to be in accordance with the air temperature in the real world. The higher the temperature, lower will be the power output.
  • Another reason is the heat soak that causes the ECU to go into an EGT “Exhaust Gas Temperature” protection mode. It reduces the requested value of the load and increases the fuel amount to cool things.
Things you need to check at the time of tuning
If you are bringing your car for rolling road tuning, then you must first understand the condition of the car.   Following are the factors that you need to check:
  • Is the car taxed?
  • Is it in the good repair state?
  • Does it need mapping?
  • Does it have adequate fuel in it?
Road rolling offers several advantages to a vehicle owner. It is better to learn about its concept to make its best use.

Factors That Make You Fall in Love with the Tuned Version of Jaguar F Type Sports Car

By Paramount Performance   Posted at  00:59   tuning No comments
Wroom! The mere mention of the name sports car brings one to the edge of their seat. Speed, style and looks are three factors about sports cars that keep one captivated and spell bound. The latest to join the race is the Jaguar F- type two seated sports car that comes as a soft top convertible or a coupe. Since its launch in 2014, this vehicle has turned the heads of many with its astounding features like the ultimate aluminum chassis, sound and vibration insulation, passenger comfort, good suspension, super charged petrol engine etc. Though the F type Jaguar is a cool and super speed vehicle, speed and performance lovers love to tune the car's engine, exhaust, wheel etc to achieve maximum benefits. Some of the tunable parameters are mentioned here. Take a look:

Sports exhaust system

A quick look at the Jaguar F type exhaust system tells that the stainless steel sports performance exhaust looks a lot sleeker and stunning compared to the others. But while customizing and adding tuning parts like catalytic converters and remote control programmable valve this sports exhaust is good in performance and weighs less than the original and also retaining the original sports sound.

Wheels and Tyre

Tuning the wheels and tyre is important if one observes a slight wear and tear in the tyre due to aging of the car. One can replace these with genuine Jaguar wheel parts if required. If one has to battle severe cold weather, they should try the winter tyre that has silica content that allows better friction even at sub zero temperature.

Engine Remapping

The engine control unit remapping is one of the best ways to improve performance of an engine where in the tuning is completely customized according to one's driving requirements along with minimization of fuel consumption.

Along with these the speed limiter adjustment, supercharged pulley etc. can be incorporated to improve throttle and mid range power of the vehicle. After all a sports car is all about performance and quickness with less wear and tear that can be achieved with these performance tuning methods.

These performance tuning methods though highly useful for a car, should be done in assistance of renowned professionals only. There are plenty of such reliable service providers from whom you can get the desired services whenever required.

Top 10 winter car care tips

By Paramount Performance   Posted at  02:42   Performance Car Exhausts No comments
The most important thing to be remembered is that you should never take your car for granted. If this tip is remembered, you are sure to have a lasting time with your car. It is this car that takes you to all the places that you want to, it is your responsibility to spend some extra time taking the care of your car in the winters. Here is a quick checklist that will help make you solve any pending issues related to your car or any matters that require your immediate attention like the car tuning or other efficiency and performance related matters.

Car Tuning
  • Have a look at the oil or the gas of your car and all oil filters. Be sure that you follow your manufacturer’s instructions and recommendations about your fuel and its uses. Maintaining efficient engine oil is one of the best tips to beat the frosts of the winter driving.
  • There is a facility available that lets you check your engine’s antifreeze with a tester kit. It is comprised of 50% distilled water and 50% antifreeze; and this proportion is usually sufficient in most of the situations. Especially in extremely cold and harsh climatic conditions, do check for similar optimal conditions.
  • Chilly and icy roads tend to be hard for your tyres and the performance car exhausts. Keep checking the tread on the tyres and also ensure that each tyre has sufficient pressure that is according to the recommended PSI levels. The PSI levels are normally printed on the tyres. Keeping the quality check on the tyres and all the accessories of your car will take you a real long way on the chilly roads.
  • Also, do not forget to have your car batteries and charging checked. Especially during the winter time, the batteries start making the things difficult for you. This would make sure that your battery doesn’t give up on you when you are stuck somewhere where it is difficult to find help.
  • Belts are one important thing that is easily ignored by all. It is always important to keep in mind that damaged seat belts never last wrong, especially during the winter. The car’s belts should be in good working condition to ensure that you have a successful car tuning of your automobile.
A lot of road accidents in the winters are caused due to the low visibility. It is important to have good working wipers, clean windshields and windows, and performance car exhausts.

How to make your car last really long?

By Paramount Performance   Posted at  02:41   Performance Car Exhausts No comments
Do you have a convertible that you simply love to ride in the summer months? But now is it time to store your car for some months because of any reasons? If yes, then you must not forget to consider the variety of things that one must follow before you lock your door and walk away for a month from your car. You can never just let your vehicle stand on the roads or in the garage while you have planned not to make use of it for a long time. Or else, you may find yourself returning to a dead battery, damaged engine, or ruined tires.

Car Covers

Here is a list of things that you need to take care apart from having and maintaining your Porsche car covers, or the ultimate range rover car covers:
  • Keep it covered
The perfect place to store the car is a garage that is exclusively designed to keep the car safe. It is constructed to protect the car from all the external harmful factors that tend to damage the automobile in any way possible. Moreover, it will also protect the car from extreme and harsh climatic changes. Also, there are options to keep your car in a public storage facility which is also cost effective. Use waterproof Lamborghini car covers and range over car covers for the better of your automobile and its safety.
  • Clean it nicely
It might seem a bit contradictory when you say you want to clean your car just before you are keeping it away for months. But yes, this is significant. It is the very common step that is easily overlooked. Before putting your Porsche car cover on your favourite car, make sure you clean your car well. This includes cleaning and washing the wheels, to get rid of the tar and the wax.
  • Change the oil
There is no need to follow this step if you are keeping away this car for just a few weeks. But, in case you are planning to store your car for more than a month, you should surely think about changing the oil. It is also recommended in the manuals that this is a major step in taking care of the vehicles and its engines. This is because of the fact that the stored and used engine oil has developed contaminants that tend to damage the engine and its working.
  • Top off the tank
This is also a long term tip that makes sure your car is safe for a long period of time. When you know that the car is going to be in store for more than two months, fill the tank with gas. This avoids the moisture from building up inside and moreover also keeps the seal from drying.

Know your car better and get the perfect tuning for it

By Paramount Performance   Posted at  22:52   car tuning No comments
Everyone wants a car to in top notch condition, fuel efficient and to perform well. For serving this purpose, it is important to maintain and keep the vehicle in good condition. We might do anything but at times feel that if the vehicle cold be of better mileage then it would be better. Some feel the same in terms of the speed; they feel that it would be better if their car can run at higher power. jaguar exhaust system
The car manufacturers follow a standard method and rule for building any car, so the customisation is not being done when a new machine is created. This customisation of these vehicles is what is required to achieve the required performance from it. For this there are few processes that can be done as per the result that we want to achieve.

These are called car tuning or ecu remapping. Nothing major but these are just minor adjustments to the existing car structure. Every tuning device and mechanism is custom created for each model. Like a jaguar exhaust system is quite different from an aston martin exhaust system.

All these might sound too technical for you, but it is actually quite easy to know and understand. Having knowledge about these also helps you understand and know your car and it requirements. You can authorised and authentic service providers who have their own workshops and research centres offering such car tuning classes.

In these classes usually you get to know various types and mechanisms used in such processes. You will be educated about the types of tuning boxes and its different uses. You can learn everything about the tuning and mapping that is required in such centres.

Paramount-Performance is one such tuning services provider who also provides classes and trains enthusiast and professionals.
